I’m really not good at this…

Rvl’s Pick:

Genesis – Justice

Fairings are coming in today, lets just hope that they haven’t managed to fuck up the bonding, repair and paint works. I think I’ve been able to get all the brackets straighten up and reinforced as much as I can. If everything goes to plan, the Akai Onna should be prepped by midnight tonight.

I’m not keeping my hopes up though, experience and age have thought me well on how very sour things can get when you get to excited over something. In any case, I’ll make plan B and C for assurance that I won’t be bored this weekend.

Post Script

Last night was a terrible golfing session, too many distractions.

Cycle of life…

Rvl’s Pick:

All the lonely people – The Beatles

I found out that it is just oh so easy to fall back into old habits and patterns. Its confirmed my earlier suspicions that I need constant reminders and encouragement to achieve specific goals.

Sigh, note to self, start having stronger determinations and drive for something. You’re on your own now.

Mia’s the bomb!

Rvl’s Pick: Strong Again – Mia Palencia

It’s been I don’t know how long since I’ve gone canyon strafing, partly due to an “Ouch!” episode involving the Akai Onna in front of my house and partly because of this sad shit piece of depressing weather we’re having recently. I’m having trouble waking up in the mornings cause its so cold, plus I’m getting tired of cleaning out road grime from all my modes of transport, so Sun, start shining already!

Mia’s album dropped last Friday and the night was mind blowing. Mia’s performances seem to have that effect on me, but that night I think it’s also because of the booze, the songs and the lovely characters of friends that I always get to meet whenever I attend her shows. Even the irritating traffic jam on the way over was a delight, it gave The Bunneh and I some time to catch up on what has transpired in our lives. I really should make a point to hang out with the BBS girls and old boys more often. Life was simpler back then.

Anyways on to Mia’s show, if you’ve somehow fucked up and managed to miss it then you’ve missed out on an extraordinary event. That show was quite possibly the last time she’s ever gonna be performing here in the country again before moving on to a blissful wedded life in the south country. That’s right, she’s getting married and shifting out folks so to those who procrastinated in making a supportive effort I say “Time’s up and eff off!”.

Mia is the kind artist that just inspires people to make changes in their lives, a hat trick of talents that make you want to stop whatever you’re doing to try get a piece of that music life we have all once upon a time dreamt about.

She done us all proud and will be sorely missed by family, friends, and fans alike.

p.s

Do yourselves a favour and buy her albums, I promise you its worth it.

THE POTRAIT OF DORIAN GRAY.....

Rvl’s Pick:

Lonely Highway – Hope

A long time ago, in another lifetime, I sold my soul to the Devil….

Recently he came to collect….

“Watch me smile, I’m screaming underneath… heading for the perfect breakdown”

I wish I could’ve been your happy ending…

Current Thoughts

Rvl’s Pick:

Perfect Breakdown – Elizavetta

Borrow a tank bag and side saddles for the Akai Onna.

Pack a light luggage consisting of beach wear and loose unwanted shirts.

Ready the solar charger, camera, iPod and prime the Akai Onna for a long journey.

Scramble enough cash to be able to afford a decent enough place to stay for a few days.

Get in gear and head north, far north, maybe north enough to cross borders.

Imagine self, passing various beautiful scenery and stopping for puffs along the way.

Find a beach, park, check in and piss the night away.

Cruise along beach roads in shorts with no shirt on and…

Chill the fuck out!

I’m just sayin..

Who wants to go on an adventure with me at years end?

Unfunny….

Rvl’s Pick:

So sorry – Feist

Hey I know I joke, a squirrel walks up to a tree and says:”I forgot to store acorns for winter and now I am dead” Ha! It is funny because the squirrel gets dead.
